How do you replace a FORD E-250 Van Fuel filter/hoses?

I cut the encourage hoses on my 2001 Ford E-250 van to replace the filter and now want to do it straightaway because I've been told it's dangerous since they were pressurized. The dealer wants to charge $600 because they have to substitute for the whole fuel lines. is there a way around this?

Not extremely unless you can do the job your self The dealership is right the gas in the line is under pressure but not that much, However you needfulness to clamp it tight if you drive it .
Replacing the line should not be that hard , at sublet order one and take a look at it if you see that you can't do the job take it to your local mechanic It won't coast as much,hope this helps.

Which is better, the Chevrolet Express or Ford E-250?

I am starting a stinting furniture moving business. Which do you think is better suited and more honest?

The Chevrolet Express or the Ford E-250 and why? I am really going for dependability and reliability.

I would go with the Econoline 250 because GM nothing but went bankrupt and it might be hard to find parts for your Chevrolet Express if they take their van face out of production.

How do you remove a 1997 Ford E-250 van fuel filter ?

I removed the aegis clips on each end but it still will not come off. I note that it has a ridge on each end. Is there a special tool for this?

I admit with aaronh9. You need a special coupler type tool to story the. They usually come in sets of five, if they are the inexpensive plastic type that you buy at most vehicle parts stores.
