I currently conclude in the US and I own a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I plan to move to the Philippines in a year or two and would love to bring it with me. However, from my research, I've found that shipping and 100% tariffs would see this impossible. :(
So, how much money (in PhP or US$) would it take to buy a new one in the Philippines? Or, could you suggest a good substitute 4X4?

you might get an notion from this site. it has secondhand ones for sale. one good detail is that gas is cheap .a negative is that genuine parts are hard to come by. the value of the doller against the peso has for all practical purposes halved in recent years.............hope it comes back up by the every now u travel...................mostly people in the phillipines drive second dole out japanese imports..........even similar models to the jeep 4x4 . there isa proof supply of parts. probably ur best option would be to sell ur jeep and condider buyinga toyota or mitsubishi when u turn up. they really do last.

What kind of experiences have you had with the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
I am in view of buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I have a job that frequently takes me to muddy construction sites, dirt roads, and function in upstate NY so deal with sometimes interesting winters. I also want a convertible. Perhaps a Jeep is the best of both worlds. I have generally stayed away from American car makers becuase of their less then steller raise quailty. But after 5 years with a VW Jetta that has spent a lot of time at the shop, I don't covet to deal with something that is going to be consistantly having stupid annoying things go break down with it. Something else that is appealing to me about the Wranglers is the fact that their resale value seems to stay cute good compared to other cars of the same vintage.
So, after all of that, the simple question remains, what have been your experiences with the Wrangler Unlimited: what has gone flop, what has gone right, recalls, dealer experience, etc.

Outstanding vehicles. They are not the fastest vehicles, nor the most fuel efficient. But man, they are fun to drive. They paramour sand and snow. There are tons of aftermarket companies that sell garnishes to make it more specific to your needs. The Unlimited is nice for the fact that you can hold more shipload and tow more than the shorter wheelbase. Now, in a few more months, Jeep will introduce the redesigned Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. There will even be a four door Wrangler. You may want to linger to either buy the 2007 model or get a great deal on the 2006. Good good break. Here is the information on the four door model.:

Which jeep wrangler unlimited is better?
I'm insomuch as getting a jeep wrangler unlimited sahara or rubicon. Which is better? I need to be able to allude on the highway, but also on gravel and off-roading.
I know I need 4x4, and I want the 6- dart manual transmission.
The first attitude you have to do is determine how much and how tough of off roading you will be doing. The Sahara is very capable for most applications.
The Rubicon, as stated times, is a little more heavy duty. Items such as: stronger front axle, electronic move bar disconnect, axle lockers, and a strong transfer case.
