Ford Kuga to be new Ford Escape in US? | Cars UK | UK Car News

We reported back in October that Ford are planning to move casting of the Kuga to the US in 2011, and will float the Ford Kuga in to the US retail as a replacement for the Ford Escape. All of which seems to be mignonne much confirmed – ignoring a deficit of recognized word from Ford – as Ford dealers in the US are getting twitchy about tumbling the Escape name and bringing in the Kuga.

The theory goes that the Ford Escape enjoys big sort fidelity from buyers, and that shifting the name to Kuga would throw a slab of those sales. Which I hypothesize we make out, even if it is a bit Luddite. And it does go against Ford’s ‘One Ford’ rule of having the human race cars, a ways that is starting to calling for them in a big way with the modern preamble to the US of the Ford Fiesta .

I also about it underestimates customer’s discernment. Undoubtedly US car buyers can toil out that the Kuga is the replacement for the Escape and not have to be mollycoddled by keeping the name the same? It is unvarnished that the Kuga will be a bit separate for the US as it indubitably won’t fly to pieces with a diesel choice and will get the 4WD system from the prevailing Escape, but it will look the same.

I quite can’t see Ford bowing to distributor arm-twisting on this, and nor should they. The people moves on and a new car deserves a new name. Otherwise we’d all still be driving from beginning to end in Anglias, Pops, Prefects, Corsairs and Zephyrs.

i have a 2001 Ford Escape V6 3.0L and it has no Radiator cap????? i looked and then i put antifreeze in the hem in. Why does it have no cap????

Most cars that don't have a radiator cap have a pressurized cap on the overflow tank a substitute alternatively. Many foreign cars have done this for years. One advantage is that you have less evaporation of the coolant.

Moral make sure the overflow tank is filled up to the "dismal" line when the engine is cold, and don't open it when the engine is hot. If you have a sneaking suspicion a problem, they can be pressure-checked just like a radiator cap, with the singular adapter.

2002 Ford Escape hesitates to start every great once in a while, any guesses what it might be?

Every enormous once in a while -- like once every couple of months or so, my '02 Ford Escape doesn't thirst to turn over. When it happens I have to hold the key on and let it crank for 30 seconds or so and then it will upon over. One of my guesses is, it might be doing this after sitting in direct sun for several hours, but I'm not sure.

Is there anything that Escape's are celebrated for, that might be causing this? Any speculations what it might be?

I know I should take it to a garage -- but since it happens so sporadically I disregard about it -- and more than likely the garage won't be able to duplicate the problem.

Try this... Evict the key to the "ON" position....wait 30 seconds...then fire it up....
Provoke injection is a high fuel pressure system.
Somehow after the vehicle sits a while the nuclear fuel system will lose pressure causing the motor to crank longer to base up the necessary pressure to deliver adequate fuel to the motor.
Turning on the key also turns on the exciting fuel pump in your gas tank creating the necessary pressure. It should fire up much quicker! Try it...... Also getting the exacerbate filter changed wouldn't hurt anything either! Good Happenstance!

Why my 2001 Ford escape egr failure and valve blew up on the side?

I have a 2001 Ford Escape. For some due to reasonable while driving at high speed, the Side of my EGR Valve is blown out. Before that I had problems with miscarry, I replaced two spark plug solenoids and the six plenum gaskets. After that the car was unceasing weaken (without power). I replace the EGR valve, but the problems continue. I found that the tube present from the exhaust manifold to the EGR was extremely hot. What is happening?

EGR has no relation on misfire unless the sensor is shorted or grounded

phft will cause you cat to heat up abnormally
and running rich too,

your check locomotive light shoul be on by now,,have it scan
